We are still at the beginning stages of this process. It is still hard to answer some of the questions because a lot relies on determining where to build.
I have created folders at several Realtor websites to store prospective land parcels. The goal is to visit these parcels in the coming months and make a determination of which is the best opportunity.
After this initial question is answered, i.e. land is found, then the other questions should progress in a more natural manner. The next steps after purchasing the land include: determining the best home site, installing the well, getting the PERC test done and installing the septic system, and getting the electric run to the property.
The scope of the inquiry is so broad that focusing on the first questions of finding land will make the process easier.
